About
I’m Macaulay — an AV engineer with 7 years of experience working across theatres, arts centres, production companies and live events, including conferences, award ceremonies, product launches and holistic wellbeing festivals. I hold a degree in Audio Production and have worked with learning and producing music for over 15 years, working in live performance (as an op and performer), recording and music production both for myself and alongside other artists. Alongside my technical work, I am also a qualified yoga teacher, which has developed my ability to operate within sensitive and immersive environments such as sound baths, yoga sessions and wellbeing experiences. I bring a careful, considered approach to sound, with an awareness of atmosphere, energy and audience experience, alongside calm, clear and supportive communication with performers, facilitators and event teams. Over the last few years, I’ve dedicated my career to freelancing as an AV technician while continuing my development as a yoga teacher and student. This combination has helped me cultivate strong attention to detail, presence under pressure and a thoughtful, collaborative approach to events. I bring a broad technical skill set, adaptability across departments and a genuine passion for creating smooth, well-supported live experiences.
